Application Instructions

  • A Jasper County Employment Application must be fully completed and submitted for the position for which you are applying.  You may use one application per any two positions.  Resumes may accompany an application, but  do not take the place of an application.

  • Please read the entire job announcement paying special attention to the Application Procedure paragraph listed at the end of the Job Announcement.  

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.  This includes unsigned applications.

  • Applicants must fill out, sign and attach below the Release for Background Information form. Download form here.

  • Applications may be mailed or delivered in person.  Late applications will not be considered.  Applications must be received in Human Resources no lather than, 5:00 P.M. on the day of closing.  Mailed applications must be postmarked no later than the closing date.

  • Application forms may be downloaded from this page (see above) or, may be obtained by visiting the Clementa C. Pinckney Government Building, Human Resources Department, 358 Third Avenue, Suite 212, Ridgeland, SC.  Applications may be mailed upon request by calling (843) 717-3680.                           

  • All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Jasper County will be required to submit to a drug test and SLED background check.  Employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing both the drug screening and background investigation.
