Position Summary:
System Administrators organize, install and support an organization's computer systems. These include local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and other data communication systems such as intranets or internet cafes within their company. A must have excellent communication skills since they work directly with employees across an organization to understand their needs and ensure all employees can work as efficiently as possible. They also need a strong technical understanding of information systems to address issues that arise across the organization.
Major Duties:
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, or similar role
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills

Physical Demands:
The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light objects, occasionally lifts heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
WorkEnvironment:
The work is typically performed in an office and occasionally at outdoor facilities, where the employee may be exposed to dust, dirt, machinery with moving parts, cold or inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge and level of competency are commonly associated with completion.
• A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require two plus years’ experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
