Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining computer systems for Jasper County along with additional administrative duties, as required.
Major Duties:
• Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
• Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
• Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
• Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
• Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
• Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
• Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
• Conducting daily backup operations.
• Managing technical documentation.

Physical Demands:
The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light objects, occasionally lifts heavy objects, climbs ladders, AND uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
WorkEnvironment:
The work is typically performed in an office and occasionally at outdoor facilities, where the employee may be exposed to dust, dirt, machinery with moving parts, cold or inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices such as mask, goggles, or gloves.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
• A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require two plus years experience.
· Must possess a valid Drivers License.
